Jack London was born the 12th of January of 1876, in San Francisco, California. After being working in London a while he returned home and started to publish novels. His writter life started in 1893 when in the city where he lived started a writting contest and his mum knowing that he was a good writter pushed him to do it, that was when he was 17 years old. He wrote some books and the year 1916 he died.
Jack London was a 19th century American author and journalist. His best books are White Fang and The call of the Wild.

The book that I have chose is The call of the Wild that is about a dog that is rapped and putted into a dog slavery. There he had to push a heavy sled through miles of ice, and he was basically a domestic dog, so that work was hard for him. So as he wanted to resist and still alive, he lerned from other dogs how to survive there.
Some time later he gets in a struggle with another dog for being the best and the stronger in the group, so they had a fight, Buck( the dog) won the fight and he finally was the leader of the dogs.The team changes of human directors, and they were really bad and ended up killing themselfs and all the dogs excepting Buck, that is saved by Thornton an excursionist.
Buck starts a new life and gets really attached to Thornton. At the end of the book Thornthon is killed by a tribe, Buck gets the revenge and after that he is free to run in the wild.
The conclusion is that some people (or dog in this case) can change their mind or their hoobies or type of life depending under the circumstances that they are living in. This book is related with my theme because it happens in the snow.
